CSUSB Theatre Department: Pippin Advertisement

For my Junior Design Topics class, I had the privilege of creating a poster for CSUSB’s Theatre Department’s production of Pippin. Pippin tells the story of a young prince torn between his love for the circus and his duty as a potential king. The department requested a poster that captured Pippin’s inner conflict while using a vintage circus and regal aesthetic. To achieve this, I went for a red and gold color scheme, complemented by a circus diamond pattern and ornate royal border. I symbolized Pippin’s dilemma with a jester hat hovering over his name and a crown hanging off of it. Incorporating all necessary details provided by the department, I also developed mockups for an email header and promotional stickers. This was all achieved through both Adobe Illustrator and InDesign.   Although another design was ultimately selected for production, mine received recognition as a runner-up, underscoring its creativity and thoughtful execution.
